The 2024 NFL schedule release finally has a date.
With the 2024 NFL draft wrapped up, the next big date on professional football's calendar is what the exact schedule will look like for the upcoming season. The NFL has yet to officially say a date besides "coming in May," but the Sports Business Journal first reported the league has notified its teams of when the schedule will be released.
Every NFL team knows who it is playing this season, but with a reported date, teams and fans will soon know when their favorite team will go above and beyond to reveal the dates and locations of their upcoming season schedule.
When is the 2024 NFL schedule release?
The 2024 NFL schedule release will be May 15 at 8 p.m. ET, according to the Sports Business Journal and several other outlets.

When was 2023 NFL schedule release?
This year's NFL schedule release will come out a few days later in the calendar than last year.
The full schedule release for last season happened May 11, and select games, such as the Black Friday and Christmas Day games, were revealed in the days leading up to the release.
What 2024 NFL games are scheduled so far?
The only scheduled game so far is the Week 1 game in Brazil. On Friday, Sept. 6 the Philadelphia Eagles will play the Green Bay Packers at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil. It hasn't been determined who they will play, but as the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs will open the season with a home game on Sept. 5.
With the opponents for every team already known, there are plenty of highly anticipated rematches and grudge games from last season.
We also know one team for each of the four other international games.
When will 2024 NFL tickets be on sale?
Single game tickets for the 2024 NFL season will be available as soon as the games are announced, the NFL said.
NFL international games
There will be five international games this season and the designated "home" teams for each game are known. The opponent and date for all of those games is not yet known. The five international games and teams are:
- Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers, Week 1 on Sept. 6 in Brazil (Corinthians Arena).
- Minnesota Vikings vs. TBD in London (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium).
- Chicago Bears vs. TBD in London (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium).
- Jacksonville Jaguars vs. TBD in London (Wembley Stadium).
- Carolina Panthers vs. TBD in Munich (Allianz Arena).
