The folks at Marvel are best known for producing box office-shaking superhero blockbusters. They're also uncannily good at planning.
Since “Iron Man” premiered in 2008, the interconnected Marvel Cinematic Universe has expanded beyond all expectations and continues to grow. After the mega “Infinity Saga” that made up the first three phases of the MCU, the superhero world is now in Phase 5 – part of the “Multiverse Saga” – with the upcoming release of "Deadpool & Wolverine" and is mostly planned out through Phase 6, which includes two new “Avengers” movies.
So what’s coming and when? Here’s everything we know that's in the Marvel pipeline:

Kathryn Hahn's 'WandaVision' witch returns in 'Agatha All Along'
Just in time for Halloween, Kathryn Hahn reprises her magical "WandaVision" role as Agatha Harkness in the Disney+ series "Agatha All Along" (premieres Sept. 18). Her powers were taken from her by Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), and the new show finds Agatha following a legendary path to get her mojo back and forming new coven alongside a goth teen (Joe Locke) and some fellow witches (including Aubrey Plaza and Patti LuPone). An appearance by Wanda's "corpse" in the first trailer – she brought a mountain down on herself in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" – teases that we might not have seen the last of the Scarlet Witch, either.

Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman make MCU debuts in 'Deadpool & Wolverine'
Before things get witchy, a couple of antiheroes are getting stabby. Ryan Reynolds' sword-swinging Merc with a Mouth and Hugh Jackman's clawed X-Man make their MCU debut in the new meta adventure "Deadpool & Wolverine" (in theaters July 26). Wade Wilson is out of superpowered game but when he gets a chance at being a real hero like Thor or Captain America, he puts the Deadpool outfit back on and teams up with grumpy frenemy Wolverine in an action-packed tale that features Emma Corrin as debuting antagonist Cassandra Nova and promises a heap of cameos, Easter eggs and banter.
Exit Chris Evans, enter Anthony Mackie with 'Captain America: Brave New World'
After three movies with Chris Evans, the fourth Captain America solo film (Feb. 14, 2025) – previously subtitled "New World Order" – features Anthony Mackie, whose Sam Wilson inherited the mantle and the shield in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” Two characters from that TV series return in the new film – Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres (aka new Falcon) and Carl Lumbly as former super-soldier Isaiah Bradley – while Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross and Tim Blake Nelson’s Leader have their first MCU appearances since “The Incredible Hulk." Harrison Ford makes his Marvel debut as President “Thunderbolt” Ross, taking over the character originally played by the late William Hurt.
‘Thunderbolts’ brings together a motley crew of Marvel antiheroes
The Avengers, this lot is not. In the comic books, the Thunderbolts are a group of supervillains working for the government – sort of like DC’s Suicide Squad. And while plot details are scarce about their movie (May 2, 2025), we do have a sense of the lineup, which includes “Black Widow” characters Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) and Red Guardian (David Harbour), the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and John Walker, aka U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell). Julia Louis-Dreyfus is on tap to reprise her role as shady group leader/recruiter Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, and the cast will also feature Marvel rookies Lewis Pullman and Geraldine Viswanathan.
More Disney+ series are coming, including the return of Charlie Cox's Daredevil
There are more Disney+ shows coming soon as well. A list of what's on the way:
- Charlie Cox's blind superhero faces his nemesis Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) once more in "Daredevil: Born Again" (March 2025), a reunion of the leads from Netflix's "Daredevil" series.
- "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" breakout Dominique Thorne's inventive teen Riri Williams gets the spotlight in "Ironheart," premiering in 2025.
- Yahya Abdul Mateen II, who played Black Manta in the "Aquaman" movies, bounces from the DC universe to the Marvel world as the title role of "Wonder Man," an upcoming series from "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" director Destin Daniel Cretton.
Phase 6 brings 'Blade,' 'Fantastic Four' and new 'Avengers' movies
Here's what's on tap for Phase 6:
- Marvel's "First Family" from the comics gets a third chance on the big screen with director Matt Shakman's "Fantastic Four" (July 25, 2025), with Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Susan Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing and Ralph Ineson as the villainous Galactus.
- Mahershala Ali is on tap to take on the mantle of comic books’ coolest vampire hunter in "Blade" (Nov. 7, 2025), also starring Mia Goth.
- Fans also await the next lineup of Marvel's storied group of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" (May 1, 2026) – which is likely in for a name change following Kang star Jonathan Majors' off-screen legal troubles, unless the character is recast – and "Avengers: Secret Wars" (May 7, 2027).
