Good morning. This is Betty Lin-Fisher with today's edition of The Daily Money.
We're watching the actions of the Federal Reserve today, which is finishing its two-day meeting, and what action it might take on interest rates. The Fed is expected to hold interest rates steady.
My USA TODAY Money team colleagues have a live blog you can check throughout the day for the latest updates. The Fed is expected to announced its decision at 2 p.m. ET, and Fed Chair Jerome Powell is set to speak at 2:30 p.m. ET. Paul Davidson will be there.
Where are the top places to work?
The winners in the Top Workplaces USA awards are in. The rankings are part of the fourth-annual survey, co-sponsored this year by Energage and USA TODAY. Winners are identified solely based on employee feedback gathered through the Energage employee engagement survey.
There are also winners in three other categories: companies with 1,000 to 2,499 employees, organizations with 500 to 999 employees and organizations with 150 to 499 people on staff.
More than 7,000 employers nationwide were invited to take the challenge and 2,227 followed through with an employee survey process. Ultimately, 1,531 employers received recognition.
